Economic Co-op Within NAM To Restrict Impact Of Sanctions : Expert

Tehran, Aug 12, IRNA – An expert said economic cooperation among the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member states will greatly restrict the impact of sanctions. Farhad Ghaffari who is a member of economic and development working group of the first NAM international scientific conference stressed the need for more economic cooperation among member states. Talking to IRNA, he said establishment of joint economic organizations and international banks among member states will lead to fading of impacts of the sanctions. The expert said the upcoming 16th NAM summit in Tehran will discuss establishment of a joint international bank as well as multi-national companies and organizations. He also believed that Iran’s presidency over the Non-Aligned Movement could raise its international position by highlighting its role in global developments./end
