Foreign Experts Inspect Food Industries In Alborz

Karaj, Alborz Prov., IRNA – A delegation comprising 10 foodstuff experts and researchers from 10 world countries Wednesday inspected two factories producing foodstuffs in Alborz Province. The experts are from the U.S., Thailand, the Philippines, China, India, Indonesia, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Comoros and the United Arab Emirates who are visiting the province at the invitation of Alborz Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture. Head of Agricultural Research Center of Iran Scientific and Industrial Research Organization Majid Javanmard said the visit took place with an aim of familiarizing world foodstuff researchers and experts with Iran’s foodstuff products. He said using expertise and views of world foodstuff experts for the development of domestic products and preparing the ground for finding ways to global markets were among other objectives of the visit. “We should make greater efforts in the field of technology, selection and export packaging of foodstuffs in order to take greater strides in global markets,” he said. Alborz Province possesses 3,500 small, medium and large-scale production and industrial units a remarkable number of which are active in the field of foodstuffs./end
