French Delegation Inspects Chabahar Port

Chabahar, Sistan-Baluchestan Prov, Sept 25, IRNA – Members of a French delegation representing Bollore Company Wednesday inspected capacities of Shahid Rajaei and Shahid Kalantari ports with an aim of developing the company’s strategy in the field of ports and logistics. A member of the group, speaking about the capabilities of the company, said Bollore is totally a private company and is among the world’s top 500 companies in the field of logistic transportation, communications, port construction, energy saving and manufacture of electric cars. The company possesses 18 container and 20 general terminals in Europe, Africa and India and is the largest private sector in the African Continent. The French company unloads and reloads 6,271 TEU containers annually and conducts 80 thousand shipments in a year around the world for carrying vehicles and signs 15 to 30-year contracts on BOT basis with most world countries. Meanwhile, Siavash Rezvani, Director General of Ports and Shipping Department of Chabahar, stressed that Chabahar is a safe place for domestic and foreign investment and said its major advantage is access to high seas and proximity to the world's consumption markets./end
