Govt Sets Export Prices Of Mining Products For June Shipment

Jakarta, June 8 (ANTARA) - The government has set the export benchmark prices of 76 different mineral mining products subjected to export tax for June 2012 shipment. The export benchmark prices are contained in the trade minister`s regulation No. 34/M-Dag/Per/5/2012, a copy of which was made available on Thursday. Under the regulation, the export benchmark price of copper is set at US$2,165 per ton, gold US$2,827.5 per ton, silver US$2,234.8 per ton, lead US$300 per ton, and zinc US$430 per ton. The export benchmark price of nickel with a nickel content of below 1.5 percent is set at US$15.8 per wet metric ton (WMT), a nickel content of 1.5-1.8 percent at US$25.14 per WMT, a nickel content of 1.8-2 percent at US$32.69 per WMT, and a nickel content of above 2 percent at US$41.52 per WMT. Under the finance minister`s regulation No 75/PMK.011/2012, the mining products are subject to 20 percent export duty.
