Italian Company Ready To Promote Co-op With Iran

Tehran, Feb 21, IRNA – Italyˈs Danieli company says it is ready to build a factory in Iran to design and produce mining equipment and machineries. Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Danieli, Gianpietro Benedetti who is again in Iran after four years, in a meeting with Mahdi Karbasian, director of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) on Friday referred to Danieliˈs years of presence in Iran and said the company is keen to expand relations with IMIDRO in mining industry. The construction project of a factory for designing and production of equipment and machinery needed by steel industry is currently underway in Shahreza, in central Iranian province of Isfahan and will come on stream within 15 months, Benedetti said. He said that Danieli is ready to share its technical knowledge and years of experience in steel industry with Iranian firms. In the meantime IMIDRO chief said his organization wants Danieli to cooperate with it in building a steel factory in Iran and will make every necessary preparations in this regard. he said a large number of foreign steel companies are ready to cooperate with IMIDRO in mining sector, adding, ˈWe are seeking to boost steel production in our country.ˈ Danieli ranks among three largest suppliers of equipment and plants to the metal industry in the world. The company has seven factories in Italy, Germany, France, Sweden, Thailand, China and India. The Headquarter is in Buttrio, North-East of Italy./end
