Oil Products Transit From Shahid Rajaei Port Increases By 62 Percent

Bandar Abbas, Oct 19, IRNA – Director General of Hormozgan Ports and Navigation Office said oil products transit from Shahid Rajaei Port in the first half of the Year (Iranian calendar) has risen by 62 percent compared with similar period in the last year. Expounding on operational work of the port, Ebrahim Aidani said on Saturday that during this period, 286 thousand and 910 tons of oil products has been transited from the port, which shows 62 percent increase. He added during this period, two million and 713 thousand and 457 tons of oil products has been exported from oil terminals of Shahid Rajaei Port. Aidani said non-oil export volume from the port is 13 million and 218 thousand and 167 tons in the same period of time and pointed out that non-oil products transit volume in this period had been 2 million and 957 thousand and 56 tons, which compared with the similar time last year shows 935 percent increase. He stressed that totally during this six months. 36 million and 883 thousand and 482 tons oil and non-oil products have been loaded and unloaded in the port. Shahid Rajaei Port, with its advanced facilities, has loaded and unloaded 60 percent of total loading and unloading operation in the whole ports of the country.
