PG Littoral States Main Buyers Of Iran Handicrafts

Tehran, July 2, IRNA - Deputy head of Iranˈs Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) for handicrafts said here Monday the Persian Gulf littoral states are the main customer of the Iranian handicrafts. Yahya Rahmati made the remarks in a local gathering in Tehran, adding some $733 million worth of handicrafts were exported during the last Iranian calendar year (ended March 20,2013) He noted the figure amounted to $57 million in past six years. Persian Gulf littoral states are the main customers of the Iranian handicrafts followed by the Europe, North Africa and East Asia, respectively, Rahmadi said. He also urged the Iranian exporters to pay due attention to European markets and introduce Iranian handicrafts to the European nations./end
