KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3 (Bernama) -- A strong earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale hit South Sumatra in Indonesia at 6.48 am Tuesday. According to the Malaysian Meteorology Department (MetMalaysia), the location of the quake was 244 km west of Bengkulu, Indonesia, and at a depth of 48 km.
