600 female doctors say our becoming stronger torments enemies

As many as 600 Iranian female physicians, dentists, and pharmacists wrote a letter to Iranian teenage girls in which they called on them to endeavor for the glory of Iran, noting that “our becoming stronger torments our enemies.” “We studied in the universities of this country and became doctors, surgeons, optometrists, dentists,… We went through long waits. We treated the pains of men and women far from our homes and families. We made medicines and vaccines, became university professors, wrote articles, participated in international conferences, and of course, we found nowhere to be and boast, safer and freer than the shadow of our country's flag,” the letter read. “They said that the Iranian girl was left helpless. We were teaching at the university and they said that the Iranian girl was restricted. We presented our articles in international conferences and they said Iranian women have no right to progress. In addition to all this, we chose to be mothers and they said that motherhood is imposed on Iranian women,” it added. The writers of the letters believed that the enemies cannot tolerate the progress of Iranian women and girls. Enemies know that the Iranian girl's “amazing will” is rooted in her courage, anti-tyranny and freedom-seeking, and they have only one way left to distort the meaning of freedom and anti-tyranny, they noted in the letter. The 600 Iranian female doctors wrote at the end of this letter: “We are sure that Iranian teenage girls will not yield to the enemies and will keep Iran strong, independent, safe and free.” Follow us on Twitter @IrnaEnglish
