Defense Min: Iran Enjoys High-tech To Design Heavy-duty Planes

Tehran, May 1, IRNA - - Minister of Defense and Logistics of Armed Forces Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi on Monday said Iran could attain a level of high technology to design heavy-duty airplanes. He described the current sanctions against Iran as ineffective and said Iranians can nowadays proudly announce that they could acquire a high level of technology to manufacture helicopters and heavy-duty aircraft. Vahidi made the remarks in a ceremony commemorating Labor Day in Isfahan. He congratulated all laborers especially those working for Iran Aerospace Organization who have received licenses for designing and manufacturing sea patrol aircraft and Shahed helicopters. Vahidi appreciated Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei’s management and support for designing and manufacturing the high-tech aircraft and said this shows the sanctions have not only failed to stop technological progress of Iran but has accelerated the country's advancement in all fields./end
