Dubai-Oslo alternative plane ready to take off from Shiraz

Shiraz, Dec 15, IRNA – The alternative plane for Dubai-Oslo flight which made emergency landing in Shiraz International Airport, southern Iran on Friday is ready to transfer passengers. Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Saturday, the Managing Director of Fars airports Reza Badeifar said the Norwegian Air's Boeing 737 plane with 187 people on board had to make emergency landing in Shiraz due to technical problems. The alternative plane carrying engineers and repairmen arrived at Shiraz airport on Friday night. “Due to a technical issue, the flight from Dubai to Oslo diverted to Shiraz International Airport. The aircraft landed normally and taxied to a gate allowing passengers to disembark. Norwegian Air has sent a relief aircraft to Shiraz International Airport to allow passengers to continue their journey to Oslo as soon as possible. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this delay may have caused,” the Norwegian airline announced in a statement. Earlier, Head of Fars Airports Public Relations Ehsan Ostovar said that one of the engines of the plane stopped working and it had emergency landing. Follow us on Twitter @IrnaEnglish
