Envoy: Iranian Women Real Artists At Home, In Society

Madrid, Oct 22, IRNA – Iranian Ambassador to Cuba surveying Iranian women’s role in arts after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, said in Havana Monday night that Iranian women are real artists both at home and in the society. Ambassador Ali Chegini who was speaking at the closing ceremony of the 15 day Islamic-Iranian Culture and Civilization in Havana elaborated on the various scientific and cultural roles that the women play in Iran, which he said have roots both in their Islamic and Iranian cultures. Chegini also spoke about the unique characteristics of the Iranian Muslim women in various eras, especially in the post-revolution period. He said that the Iranian women are the true artists at home and in the society, as side by side with heeding their responsibilities as mothers and breeding the elite and pure next generation, side by side with men they play their prominent roles in all social fields, especially in the scientific, cultural, and artistic fields./end
