Iran Artist Awarded Gold Medal Of 15th Asian Art Biennale In Bangladesh

Tehran, Dec 3, IRNA -- Iranian Photographer Sadeq Tirafkan has received Gold Medal of “15th Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh 2012”. The international contemporary art exhibition held at Shilpakala Academy, Dhaka, spanning from December 1 to December 31. Tirafkan who works as Iranian meaningful artist and photographer in Mix-media technique for "Human Pictures" has been succeeded to receive the gold medal, plaque, honorary diploma, cash prize and visual art of the 15th Asian Art Biennale. The 15th biennale kicked off in Dhaka with 11 art works by three Iranian artists and 218 other Asian artists with 475 visual art works. Tirafkan, two artists from Australia and Nepal and two artists from Bangladesh were the winners of the 15th biennale but the biggest prize of the biennale have been awarded to artists from Palestine, Japan and Bangladesh. Morteza Asadi, Kambiz Sabri and Tirafkan are the three Iranian artists who participated in the biennale./end
