JCPOA joint commission meeting to be held in Vienna soon

Moscow, Feb 27, IRNA – The joint commission meeting of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is slated to be held with the attendance of Russia, China, UK, France, Germany and Iran in Vienna soon, Russian envoy said. The meeting will be held in political directors' level, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Office and Other International Organizations told Russian media 'Tass' on Tuesday night. In is important for Russia to get information on the Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges (INSTEX) from France, UK and Germany. Russia wants to see to what extent the INSTEX will be in line with Russia benefits. He went on to say that the upcoming JCPOA joint commission is likely to solve ambiguities regarding implementation of INSTEX. Elsewhere in his remarks, Ulyanov referred to the IAEA 14th report confirming Tehran commitment to JCPOA. Earlier Iran’s Permanent Ambassador to International Organizations in Vienna, Austria, Kazem Gharibabadi said the IAEA's new report is once again a strong reason on Iran’s commitment. He added that like in the 13th report, in the 14th one, the IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano reiterated the fact that the IAEA has continued monitoring and verification of Iran commitments based on the JCPOA articles since the implementation of the deal. Trump earlier announced on May 8, 2018, the withdrawal from the JCPOA, which was condemned by other parties to the 2015 agreement and their emphasis to stay in the landmark international deal. The International Atomic Energy Agency in its 14th report on February 22 reiterated Iran compliance with its commitments under the nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
