One killed, Seven Injured In Assam Blast

New Delhi, Sept 25, IRNA - One person was killed and seven others were injured when a blast rocked Sibsagar town of India’s Northeastern state of Assam Monday night. Police said the blast, suspected to be caused by an IED, was triggered between Central Market and Lakshmi talkies in the heart of the headquarters town of Sibsagar district at 09:00 hours IST (Indian Standard Time). Eight people were hurt and taken to nearby hospitals where one of the injured later died, pti reported. Glass panes of some nearby buildings were broken by the blast./end
