Six airports will be further developed

BANGKOK, Jan 7 (TNA) - The Airports of Thailand Public Co., Ltd. (AoT) is investing 220 billion baht to further develop six airports nationwide, designed to cater the rising number of passengers. AoT president, Nitinai Sirismatthakarn said under the 10-year development plan from 2016 until 2025, the AoT will expand and develop six airports including Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang and other airports in Phuket, Hat Yai, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. He said upon completion, the combined capacity to cater the number of passengers will increase from 83.5 million to 184 million per year. In 2017, about 133 million passengers used services at airports supervised by AoT. (TNA)
