Thai PM declares full-scale anti-narcotics campaign

BANGKOK, June 24 (TNA) - Thai prime minister declares a full-scale anti-narcotics campaign eradicating trans-national drugs ring ahead of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking next week. Prayut Chan-ocha presented awards to 216 individuals and organizations for their contributions to the war against drugs on Friday. As a national agenda, drug eradication would be treated a priority of his government, Prayut said, stressing the needs for progressive actions for drug prevention and suppression. He added anti-narcotics operations would target drugs networks by integrating all agencies and law enforcement forces. Technologies and high-tech tools would be provided for effective anti-drug operations and protecting officers. (TNA)
