AFC Thanks Iran For Hosting Intˈl Confab On Science, Football

Tehran, Nov 11, IRNA – President of Asian Football Federation Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim al-Khalifa said on Sunday that he was pleased with Iranian hosting the international conference on Science and Football in Tehran. Hosting such professional and scheduled conference in Tehran is very admirable, he said. Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim al-Khalifa said that football has many fans in Iran and is regarded among the most favorite hobby for the people. The aim of football is to bring unity and solidarity among world nations and I had a very good feeling for being in Tehran, said the AFC president. It should be noted that Iran’s football federation is one of the most active, modern and sophisticated federations of Asia, he said.
