Egyptian diplomat: Promotion of Tehran-Cairo ties to benefit both

Tehran, Spet 1, IRNA – Senior Egyptian diplomat Usra Abu Shadi has said that expansion of Tehran-Cairo relations would benefit both sides. Abu Shadi was here to attend the 16th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement held in the Iranian capital on August 30-31. The former Egyptian official at the United Nations nuclear watchdog also told IRNA that certain countries disliked visit to Tehran of the Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi for the NAM Summit. Abu Shadi expressed hope that President Mursi's Iran trip would open a new chapter in Tehran-Cairo relations.
