Energy Productivity In Industry Sector Drops In Recent Years: Report

Tehran, Sept 11, IRNA – Iran National Productivity Organization Wednesday announced a sharp drop in energy productivity of the industry sector in the calendar years 1389 and 1390 (2010 and 2011) despite its positive growth in the years 1383 up to 1386 (2004-2007). The Measurement, Inspection and Assessment Deputy Office of the organization announced that energy productivity in industry sector enjoyed positive growth in the years 1383 up to 1386. According to the report as of 1387 (2008) energy productivity in this sector recorded a negative growth so that energy productivity of the industry sector in the years 1389 and 1390 suffered severe drop. It added that the highest productivity growth during the mentioned period belonged to Hormuzgan, Razavi Khorasan and North Khorasan provinces while the highest productivity drop belonged to Qom, Ilam and Zanjan provinces./end
