Foreign Intervention Doomed To Failure: Army Statement

Tehran, Sept 21, IRNA – Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army said in a statement that yesterday’s supports of the Iraqi executed dictator Saddam are now repeating their past mistakes by pursuing warmongering policies in the region, neglecting that that’s the nations’ resolves which will determine the situation in the region and serve as the only tactics to leave behind crisis. Issued on the occasion of the Sacred Defense Week (to start September 22), the statement added that arrogant powers have closed their eyes to the crimes committed by the terrorists, as they are providing them with financial support and equipment. Such a trend will increase hatred towards the arrogant powers. The enemies should know that Islamic Republic Army is at the zenith of its readiness and is fully prepared to counter the threats, the statement said./end
