French Official: Iran Plays Pivotal Role In Resolving Syria Crisis

Tehran, Jan 25, IRNA – Visiting ex-French foreign minister Hervé De Charette said here on Saturday that Iran plays a pivotal role in settling the crisis in Syria. De Charette made the remarks in a joint press conference attended by senior advisor to the Supreme Leader Ali-Akbar Velayati. Pointing to the future of negotiations on resolving the Syrian crisis, he said:ˈ We should let the diplomats do their works.ˈ ˈWe should do our utmost to find a solution to the tension in Syria,ˈ De Charette said, noting that Iran and France play key roles in settlement of the crisis in that Arab country.
