Iran Ready To Transfer Expertise To Azerbaijan Republic

Tehran, Jan 25, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani, in a meeting with his Azerbaijan Republic counterpart Ilham Alyiev in Davos, Switzerland, discussed issues of mutual interest with him. The president told Alyiev that Iran and Azerbaijan Republic are similar in many ways, adding that the two countries have many commonalities and progress of Azerbaijan Republic is very important for Iran . President Rouhani called for more trade and economic Tehran-Baku ties, adding that Iran is ready to transfer its experiences in different fields including petroleum and petrochemicals to Azerbaijan Republic. Alyiev, for his part, congratulated Rouhani on his election and said common points between both countries in culture, religion, and social affairs are strong points in bilateral relations. Both presidents also officially invited each other to visit Tehran and Baku./end
