Iran Religious Minorities Need No Sympathy By False HR Advocates

Orumiyeh, W.Azarbaijan Prov, March 16, IRNA - Assyrian member of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) Yonathan Betkolia said Sunday that religious minorities of Iran need no sympathy by the false advocates of human rights as the Constitution has fully guaranteed their rights. The MP made the remarks in an exclusive interview with IRNA. “Iran’s religious minorities need no tutorship of the false advocates of human rights and believe that Muslims and Christians are the same for Ahmad Shaheed and his counterparts who, despite their false propaganda, slaughter thousands of Christians and set the churches on fire in Syria and other places in the world,” Betkolia said while commenting on the latest report provided by Shaheed to the UN against human rights situation in Iran. “Iran’s religious minorities including Christians, Armenians and Zoroastrians as well as different tribes are free to exercise their rituals with no problem and are the inseparable parts of the country,” Betkolia said. He added that the Iranian minorities have been active in all scenes including the eight-year Iraqi imposed war. The MP stressed that the enemies are sowing discord among different tribes and religious minorities and try to damage national solidarity by providing false reports. “Iran is the only country in the world that attaches great importance to the rights of its religious minorities based on the Constitution,ˈ he said./end
