Iran VP Felicitates Appointment Of New Qatari PM

Tehran, June 30, IRNA – First Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi sent a message to Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani on Sunday to felicitate his appointment as the new prime minister of Qatar. Sheikh Abdullah was named new prime minister of Qatar on June 26 by new emir of the country Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani. Praising Tehran-Doha amicable relations at bilateral, regional and international levels, Rahimi said Iran-Qatar relations showed a remarkable progress during the past couple of years. He expressed hope that bilateral relations would further promote during the tenure of the new Qatari prime minister./end
