IRGC Commander: Syria, Enemies Latest Defeat Against Resistance Front

Tehran, Sept 16, INRA – Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Ja’fari said Monday that the latest defeat of enemies vis-a-vis the resistance movement happened in Syria. Addressing a national gathering here, Ja’fari made the remarks reiterating that the enemies conspiracy of military intervention in Syria has failed. President Barack Obama, facing implacable opposition to a strike against Syria in Congress and throughout the country, said Tuesday that he would hold off on military action for now and pursue a Russian proposal. Enemies have, so far, suffered repeated defeats caused by the resistance front including their failure to carry out military action against Syria, said the IRGC commander. He stressed, “Enemies who have no power to confront resistance front in Syria, would definitely have no power to take any action against Iran too.” /end
