Jalili: Islamic Awakening, A Fulfilled Dream In Region

Tehran, July 10, IRNA – Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili said here on Monday evening that the Islamic Awakening is the dream of regional nations that has come true. In a meeting with head of Tunisia's ruling Ennahda's parliamentary bloc al-Sahbi Atiq, Jalili said the victory of the Tunisian revolution was the beginning of the Islamic Awakening movement in the Middle East and North Africa. Jalili added that the Islamic Awakening was materialized despite the bullying powers tried to prevent it. The Iranian chief negotiator reiterated that the West is concerned about the trend of the Islamic Awakening in the region since it is aware of the movement's importance. Jalili further underlined the need for strengthening of the convergence among the Muslims to foil the enemies’ plots./end
