Javanfekr Calls For Withdrawal Of Alien Forces From Afghanistan

Tehran, Aug 1, IRNA -- President's Advisor for the Press and Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency Ali Akbar Javanfekr on Tuesday called for withdrawal of alien forces from Afghanistan. Javanfekr made the remarks in a meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Movement of Afghanistan Party Molavi Mohammad Mukhtar Mufleh. Improved living standard in Afghanistan will be helpful for national security and welfare and the Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes such a trend, he said. He called for immediate withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan to help Afghan people determine their own affairs and make decision for their fate. Lauding the stand of the Afghan official, he said the enemies are against presence of revolutionary intellectuals who campaign ill-wishers. Due to the importance of covering news in Afghanistan, IRNA would play effective role in Afghanistan. The Afghan envoy, for his part said "I am proud of promoting the true stand of late Imam Khomeini as founder of international Qods day". "The Islamic republic of Iran is regarded as a strong supporter for the Muslim World and this has roots in the brave struggles and vigilance of founder of the Islamic revolution." Referring to clandestine activities of Zionists in Afghanistan, he said the US has formed small terrorist groups in Afghanistan to target those who are against presence of alien forces in the war-torn country. US troops have confessed to inhuman crimes and atrocities in Afghanistan, he underlined. The Afghan official said that there is no doubt that the US forces are involved in rampant insecurity in Afghanistan./end
