Judiciary Chief: ISIS, a plot aimed at halting Iraq’s advancement

Tehran, Nov 10, IRNA – Judiciary Chief Sadeq Larijani said in a meeting with Iraqi Vice President Nouri Al Maliki here Monday that ISIS terrorist group is a joint plot hatched by western and some regional countries aimed at halting Iraq’s progress and advancement. “The ground is well paved for rapid movement towards progress and advancement, and in order to halt that progress Iraq’s enemies have jointly hatched this plot,” said Ayatollah Amoli-Larijani. He said that Iraq has rich natural resources and good manpower, which are the factors needed for cultural an economic advancement and hoped for rapid and full victory of the Iraqi Army hand in hand with all tribes and people of all walks of life against the ISIS. He also praised Nouri Al Maliki’s leadership during his service as the Iraqi prime minister, arguing that he successfully solved all the problems and hoped the new Iraqi leadership, including Maliki full success in ridding Iraq of all nuisances, including the ISIS, and continuous movement towards advancement as a strong, independent Islamic country. The Iraqi vice president, too, expressed delight over the chance to visit Iran once again and said that the Iranian and Iraqi nations managed well to untie the knot due to the two countries’ long war and live as good neighbors with coming to power of the post-Saddam Iraqi government. On international campaign against the ISIS and lack of harmony among the regional Islamic countries on the same issue, he expressed regret, while expressing hope that unity in that respect and shared moves will lead to the establishment of Islamic unity and solidarity, in addition to regional peace and stability./end
