Nahavandian, Omani FM Confer

Tehran, Aug 26, IRNA - Head of Presidential Office Mohammad Nahavandian said Monday that providing regional peace and security is a priority of the Islamic Republic of Iran's foreign policy. Nahavandian made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Omani Foreign Minister Youssef bin Alawi bin Abdullah. The Iranian and Omani officials also discussed the latest regional developments and avenues to expand bilateral ties. Pointing to importance of fostering mutual political and economic relations, Nahavandian expressed hope that Tehran and Muscat would further boost strategic relations. Bin Alawi, for his part, referred to Oman-Iran historic cultural and economic relations, voicing willingness of his country to bolster bilateral cooperation in regional and international arenas./end
