New Cypriot Envoy Meets With Foreign Minister

Tehran, Feb 17, IRNA – New Cypriot Ambassador to Tehran Andreas Pego met on Sunday with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and submitted a copy of his credentials. Zarif referred to the current good level of relations between Tehran and Nicosia and highlighted suitable grounds for expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries. Zarif called for boosting ties through benefiting from potentials of both sides. The new Cypriot ambassador, for his part, briefed Zarif on political spectrum of the Cypriot government. He vowed to make his best to broaden relations between the two sides during his tenure in the Islamic Republic of Iran./end
