No Foreign Warship Allowed To Approach Iran’s Territorial Waters

Bandar Abbas, Hormuzgan Prov, Nov 28, IRNA – Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said Wednesday that the Iranian naval forces have not yet allowed any foreign warship to approach the country’s territorial waters. Addressing a ceremony in this Persian Gulf province on the occasion of the national Navy Day (November 27), the commander said Iran’s Navy is strongly focused on safeguarding national security and territorial integrity of the country. Earlier in the ceremony, two hovercrafts and two Ghadir-class submarines joined Iran's Navy in the presence of Commander Sayyari. The submarines have been designed and built by Iranian experts who also had successfully repaired the two hovercrafts previously damaged. Commander Sayyari said, to defend national interests and security of the country, Iran’s Navy would more precisely monitor any move by foreign vessels in the regional waters./end
