Pres. Rohani Inaugurates Sacred Defense Week Celebrations

Tehran, Sept 22, IRNA – President Hassan Rohani inaugurated ceremonies marking the Sacred Defense Week here Sunday morning. The celebrations are held at the mausoleum of the Late Founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini in south of the capital. The president is to address the ceremony which is attended by senior commanders of the armed forces, ranking government officials, military attaches of foreign missions in Tehran and families of sacred defense martyrs. He is then to review parade of the armed forces and Islamic Republic Guards Corps sample units. The 33rd of the Sacred Defense Week celebrations started nationwide Sunday morning./end
