President Hopes For Success Of Caspian Sea Littoral States Summit

Tehran, Sept 29, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday expressed hope that the Summit of Leaders of the Caspian Sea littoral states will yield good results. Rouhani made the remarks upon his arrival in Astrakhan, Russia, where the heads of state of five Caspian Sea littoral states – Iran, Russia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan – convened. The president, then, delivered a speech to a group of Iranian expatriates living in Astrakhan at the Iranian consulate general in Astrakhan. During his two-day stay in Russia, President Rouhani is expected to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. The president will also attend the symbolic ceremony of freeing caviar finger fish to the Volga River./end
