President Rouhani to attend military drill in Jask

Zahedan, Sistan-Baluchestan Prov, Dec 31, IRNA - President Hassan Rouhani said here on Tuesday that his visit to Chabahar in this southeastern province is aimed at visiting the infrastructural plans ratified by the cabinet. Speaking to reporters, President Rouhani underscored that he would travel to Jask to attend the ˈMohammad Rasoulallahˈ wargames on Wednesday. President Rouhani, accompanied by a group of ministers and MPs, arrived in Chabahar this morning. During his stay, the president is to inspect Chabahar port, railway and petrochemical development plans. President Rouhani has so far visited Khuzestan, Hormuzgan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Ilam, Lorestan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Ardebil, Khorassan Razavi, Zanjan, Golestan and South Khorassan provinces. The Iranian Army started the six-day ˈMohammad Rasoulallahˈ drill to display the country’s military prowess on Dec 25. The exercises is covering an area of 2.2 million square kilometers stretching from the east of the Strait of Hormuz all the way to the north of the Indian Ocean./end
