President of Victorian Legislative Council of Australia congratulates Azerbaijan on Republic Day

Canberra, May 27, AZERTAC President of the Victorian Legislative Council of the Commonwealth of Australia (the upper house of the Parliament) Bruce Atkinson has extended his congratulations to the government and people of Azerbaijan as well as the Azerbaijani community in the State of Victoria on the occasion of May 28, Azerbaijan`s Republic Day. In his letter sent to Azerbaijani’s Embassy in Australia, Bruce Atkinson hailed the role of the Azerbaijani community in developing culture in the State of Victoria through building understanding, respect and trust. He praised Azerbaijanis` contribution to transforming the State of Victoria into a harmonious and multicultural society. Bruce Atkinson also expressed his confidence that the friendly relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State of Victoria will continue to develop.
