Russian, South Korean diplomats discuss Korean Peninsula issues

MOSCOW, April 15. /TASS/. Russian First Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov has held a meeting with his South Korean counterpart Cho Hyun in Moscow, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday. "The parties exchanged views on the situation on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia, as well as on other key global and regional issues," the statement reads. "They confirmed their determination to resolve issues through political and diplomatic means, building dialogue between all involved countries," the Russian Foreign Ministry added. In addition, the two senior diplomats also discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation and enhance interaction in the foreign policy area. "Both parties pointed to intense political dialogue and the similarity of the two countries’ approaches to many issues," the statement noted. "They also discussed events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of bilateral relations between our countries that is celebrated this year." Titov and Cho Hyun agreed to continue their consultations in 2020. Read more
