Salehi Warns West To Stop Adventurism

Tehran, Feb 8, IRNA – Head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) Ali Akbar Salehi said it seems that the other side of nuclear talks is looking for adventure. He recommended them to stop making provocative statements. Salehi made the remarks here on Friday evening on the sidelines of commemoration ceremony for Iran’s nuclear martyrs. Concerning joint statement of Iran and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which was signed on November 11, 2013 in Tehran, Salehi said that six articles of the statement are being completed and are in their last phases and talks with the IAEA for continuation of cooperation will be followed. He expressed hope that talks with the Group 5+1 are not marginalized because of negotiation with the IAEA. Salehi continued there is no need to accelerate talks with the IAEA, because Iranian experts are negotiating with the IAEA on one side and talking, cooperating and consulting with Group 5+1, on the other side. Referring to recent remarks of the US State Department officials concerning Iran’s nuclear installations, Salehi said the two sides accepted obligations in Geneva for a period of six months, but it seems that the western side is looking for adventure. He recommended them to stop making provocative statements, adding that in this situation, Iran does not lose anything, but the other side will be hurt./end
