SEMINAR ON IMPLEMENTATION OF WTO TRADE FACILITATION AGREEMENT HELD

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia held Friday a seminar on ensuring implementation of the Trade Facilitation Agreement of the World Trade Organization (WTO). At the seminar, B.Enkhbold, Director of the Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, delivered a report themed ‘Mongolian foreign trade policy and WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement’, while Gerard McLinden, Senior Trade Facilitation Specialist in the Trade Practice of the World Bank Group, gave a report with topic ‘Facilitating Trade – from the view of World Bank Group’. Administrative officials of the Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Department of the Ministry led by the Vice Director B.Batkhishig delivered other reports with themes ‘Reflection of A, B and C categories of Trade Facilitation Agreement on the Revision of Mongolian Law on Customs’, ‘Implementation of the Discretionary Tariff Policy: Analysis and Future Actions’, ‘Impact of Tariff Change in Mining Sector on Mongolian economy’ and ‘Outlook of Customs Development: Capacity Building Program on World Customs Organization’. The seminar was distinctive for being held in frames of the 105th anniversary of foundation of customs service in Mongolia. B.Tugsbilig
