Splitting Up Mideast, Plan Behind Establishment Of Daesh: Assyrian Leader

Tehran, June 30, IRNA – Splitting up Middle East is the plan behind establishment of Daesh (the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant), Head of International Union of Assyrians Yonathan Betkolia said on Monday. Talking to IRNA, he noted that Daesh has been created by the Zionist regime and its regional and international allies to materialize the old plan of splitting up the Middle East geography. Betkolia referred to terrorist activities of Daesh in Iraq and Syria and denounced inaction of international organizations. Urging the Iraqi nation to be united against terrorism, he warned against the consequences of destruction of Muslims and Assyriansˈ holy sites in the region by terrorists.
