Turkish deputy pm's visit to Washington cancelled

WASHINGTON (A.A) - November 1, 2011 - Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan's visit to Washington was cancelled. The visit was cancelled due to a failure with the plane which would carry Babacan from Berlin to Washington. Babacan, who attended Turkish-German CEO Forum in Berlin, was scheduled to fly to Washington to attend the 30th annual conference of American-Turkish Council. Babacan stayed in Berlin to participate in Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's meetings.
