Turkish fm says Arab Spring is inevitable

ISTANBUL (A.A) - December 16, 2011 - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Friday that Arab Spring was inevitable. This is an unreturnable period, and Turkey will support people in this region, added Davutoglu who spoke at the opening of the Turkey-Africa Partnership Ministerial Review Conference in Istanbul on Friday. Davutoglu said that Turkey, as a source of inspiration, would do its best to lead stability, peace and tranquility as well as to help people in the region.  Davutoglu said that Turkey and Africa should develop cooperation in economy against the financial difficulties in the world, adding that Turkey's trade volume with the region increased 20 percent within 2011. Noting that important initiatives were launched in transportation area between Turkey and Africa, Davutoglu said that Turkish Airlines (THY) held flights to 17 different destinations in Africa, and this number would increase next year.
