U.S. seeking to foment new ‘sedition’ in Syria: Iranian general

TEHRAN,Nov.4(MNA) – The chief of the General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces said on Friday that the United States is seeking to foment new “sedition” in Syria. “Despite the fact that the United States is faced with a terrible situation created by superstorm Sandy and the necessity of dealing with the situation of the affected people as its first priority, unfortunately, it has concentrated its efforts on stirring up new sedition in Syria,” Major General Hassan Firouzabadi said. “The world, particularly the American people, should pay attention to the important point that the U.S. rulers, with the help of a country which is the center of support for Al-Qaeda and whose leader is a member or the leader of Al-Qaeda according to accurate information that has been acquired, is seeking to design a plan to ignite another fire in the country of Syria,” he said. Firouzabadi also advised “the Muslim and friendly neighboring country of Qatar not to further undermine its security through walking into the Americans’ trap of deception,” adding that Muslims should unite and work together to cut off the hand of the United States from Muslim countries and should not cooperate with the White House.
