Mahdavikia To Get More Experienced In Europe

Tehran, July 10, IRNA – Last season captain of Tehran’s popular Persepolis Football Team, reacting to proposal for his presence at red’s managing directors’ board, voiced here Tuesday his appreciation for the “generous proposal” but stressed all the same that he was going to increase his football experience in Europe. The Iran legionnaire football player Mahdi Mahdavikia who was speaking to the press after being elected as Iran’s most ethical player of the year, reiterated, “It was a very nice ceremony and this was the first time we were witnessing such an event” expressing delight over receiving the reputable title at the ending year of his football life. On conditions of Persepolis today, he said, “The Persepolis Football Team is a great team and I always wish it all the best.” He added, “I do not think they really need my presence at that great teamˈs managing director’s board, but I always feel indebted to Persepolis, and after evaluation of the situation of the team and myself in the future, I would be at their service if possible.” Mahdavikia added, “I would soon depart for Germany to participate at the German Youth Football Festival scheduled for Thursday, July 11th.ˈ He said, “I want to participate at the talent tests there and to bring that expertise to my dear country, Iran.”/end
