Iranian Inventors Win Three Malaysian Medals

Tehran, May 11, IRNA - Iranian inventors won two gold medals and one bronze medal in the 25th International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX 2014), which was held in Kuala Lumpur during May 8-10. Fatemeh Baqeri received a gold medal in the medical equipment section for creating a serum injection device. Hadi Hamidian won the gold medal in the environment section of the competition for manufacturing a device, which can purify 50,000 liters of wastewater and sewage daily for reuse in agriculture. Ghazaleh Baqeri won a bronze medal in the design section of the exhibition for making a new device for lighting. ITEX is an international platform for local and international inventors and research scientists to present their innovations to a business community keen on commercializing unique inventions. Organized by Malaysian Invention & Design Society since 1989, this annual event attracts researchers with their latest inventions from universities, research institutions, individual inventors, young inventors and corporations from Asia and Europe./end
