Alonso Lopez Crowned Moto2 Champion at Qatar Grand Prix 2024

Doha, March 10 (QNA) - Alonso Lopez was crowned champion of the Moto2 race in the MotoGP Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2024, the opening round of the 75th MotoGP World Championship for the 2024 season, held in Lusail International Circuit.
   Other cyclists ranked as follows: Barry Baltus (2nd), Sergio Garcia (3rd), Ai Ogura (4th), Manuel Gonzalez (5th), Marcos Ramirez (6th), Joe Roberts (7th), Albert Arenas (8th), Celestino Vietti (9th) and Aron Canet (10th).
   Lopez tops the overall standings with 25 points, 5 points behind Baltus who finished with 20 points, while Garcia stands with 16 points.
   The main race for the MotoGP category is scheduled to be held later this evening at the Lusail International Circuit at the conclusion of the Qatar Grand Prix 2024. (QNA)
