Iran’s freestyle wrestling team wins Yasar Dogu 2024

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s national freestyle wrestling team has won the Yasar Dogu 2024 wrestling tournament in Türkiye.

Iranian wrestlers snatched three gold and two bronze medals to win the prestigious tournament on Sunday.

Hadi Vafayipour, Amir Hossein Firouzpour and Amir Reza Masoumi respectively won gold medals in 86 kg, 92 kg and 125 kg weight categories while Mehdi Palangvar and Amir Mohammad Yazdani finished third in the 65 kg and 70 kg categories.

The Iranian team scored 115 points to be crowned champions of the Yasar Dogu 2024 while Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia came second and third in the tournament.
