ZERBAIJAN PRESIDENT RECEIVES TURKISH DELEGATION LED BY GRAND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY SPEAKER

Baku, 18 June, (AzerTAj)President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Tuesday a Turkish delegation led by speaker of the Grand National Assembly Koksal Toptan.

The President said Azerbaijan and Turkey are friendly and fraternal countries, and
that their relations are successfully and dynamically developing.
President Ilham Aliyev said the two countries` parliaments are closely cooperating
both within international organizations and in the bilateral format.

The Azerbaijani leader said reciprocal visits by the parliamentary delegations give
contribution to strengthening the bilateral relations.
He stressed the current visit will be a good opportunity for the Turkish delegation
to get closely familiarized with ongoing development processes in Azerbaijan, and
will contribute to further developing the Azerbaijan-Turkey relationships.

Koksal Toptan said he is pleased to be in Azerbaijan, where, he added, we “regard
ourselves in motherland�.

He said while in Baku the Turkish delegation will attend celebrations marking the
90th anniversary of the Azerbaijani Parliament.
He noted the Turkey-Azerbaijan relations are developing in various spheres, and
praised the level of the bilateral interparliamentary cooperation.
Koksal Toptan said the current trip is very important in terms of enhancing the
bilateral relations.
