Kia Motors' sales more than double in Jan

SEOUL, Feb. 1 (Yonhap) -- Kia Motors Corp., South Korea's second-largest
automaker, said Monday its auto sales in January more than doubled from a year
earlier, thanks to rising demand at home and overseas.

Kia sold a total of 163,238 units last month, with domestic sales jumping 54.2
percent to 34,007 units and overseas sales soaring 148 percent to 129,231 units,
the company said in a regulatory filing.
