Future of Kazakhstan is youth

Almaty, 20 June 2008, Khabar - The majority of representatives of creative intelligence of Almaty think that the cultural future of Kazakhstan is in its youth and at an enlarged meeting it has been discussed how the youth themselves see this future.

Akhmetzhan Yesimov spoke to participants of the
meeting on the role of art figures and development of culture of the city
and the republic in general. He also highlighted that in Almaty the creation
of the seventh administrative district is in process whereby new cultural
issues will be built.

The participants of the meeting expressed their
concerns and wishes which, in particular referred to the social security of
the young generation and presenting creative professions. The question of
development of language was also touched on with the head of the city
reiterating the principal of a tri union of languages and underlining that
fluent speaking o Kazakh, Russian and English languages must become a
cultural norm for young generation. Summing up the results the mayor of the
city has supported the idea of creation in Almaty of a Soviet of city
cultural development.

Akhmetzhan Yesimov, mayor, Almaty:
- We must create all conditions for the development of culture and
creativity. All creative intelligence is amassed in Almaty which is an
excellent part of both Kazakhstan and the whole world. We should use all
possibilities to keep the status of the cultural capital of Kazakhstan -
